THE TRIP TO ST. THOMAS

Our family just got back from a trip to the Virgin Islands to celebrate Tom and Debi's 30th Wedding Anniversary. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in St. Thomas, but we visited other islands in the U.S.V.I as well as the British Virgin Islands. All the islands for filled with lush green mountian sides and absolutely gorgeous beaches with crystal clear turquise water and white sand beaches. This is Adam and Christy on Coki Beach.
It is the gang on the island of St. John.

Makayla's Photo Shoot

Makayla got her pictures taken at JCpenny's the other day, and when I went to order, I didn't order the sizes that I should have. So instead of paying the $15 re-order fee, I decided I would do my own photo shoot (with the help of my friend Mandi). So yesterday we went to Logan and re-took her pictures. If you ask me, they turned out just as good as the ones at JCpenny's. I haven't figured out how to show you the ones we took professionally without scanning them in, so here are the pictures we took yesterday at our own photo shoot. If you want to print any of them, feel free to. I just hope they print up ok. I'm going to print some smaller ones for grannie and grandma.

Now That Has GOT To Hurt!

Hello Fam!! Don't fall out of your chairs but yes I am making I first blog post (you can thank Talie for the content and the encouragement to post). Here are some pics that were snapped during Talie's recent foot surgery. I imagine you will find them interesting. She is super strong and has handled everything REALLY well relating to her injury.

The surgeon getting ready to insert the hardware.

She tore a ligament in her foot while playing soccer (it is called the Lisfranc, named after a surgeon in Napoleon's army, bet you didn't know that =), that's ok neither did I). Without it your foot would be very unstable.

BLAM, check that screw out! I think they went to the local Home Depot to find a local dry wall screw to use!

All tightened up!

Well there you have it. Her foot is healing well and by the middle of May the doc should let her put partial weight on it with crutches.

F.I.N.S.H.E.D (for now!)

Well, we made it! We officially finished up our work at Brenda's on Wednesday. We celebrated by going to Golden Corral (yum!) Vanessa has a new blue room. We cleaned out the old computer room and painted it, and then moved Vanessa into that room. She loves it! Brenda says she comes home from school and goes straight to her room. She used to hang out in Brenda's room, but now it it much more enjoyable to hang out in her own room. I left Brenda to de-clutter her room and bathroom. I told her I would come help her paint if she could get it to the point of being paintable. We also made Vanessa's old room the new computer room, and painted that as well. So when you all get a chance, you should stop by and see the new makeover.

Last Saturday we even hauled some stuff to the dump that was outside. So not only does the inside look better, but the yard is even coming along as well. Spring cleaning in in the air!

(P.S. We would post some more pics, but Brenda really wants to keep the rest of it a surprise for those who will see it in person!)
