F.I.N.S.H.E.D (for now!)

Well, we made it! We officially finished up our work at Brenda's on Wednesday. We celebrated by going to Golden Corral (yum!) Vanessa has a new blue room. We cleaned out the old computer room and painted it, and then moved Vanessa into that room. She loves it! Brenda says she comes home from school and goes straight to her room. She used to hang out in Brenda's room, but now it it much more enjoyable to hang out in her own room. I left Brenda to de-clutter her room and bathroom. I told her I would come help her paint if she could get it to the point of being paintable. We also made Vanessa's old room the new computer room, and painted that as well. So when you all get a chance, you should stop by and see the new makeover.

Last Saturday we even hauled some stuff to the dump that was outside. So not only does the inside look better, but the yard is even coming along as well. Spring cleaning in in the air!

(P.S. We would post some more pics, but Brenda really wants to keep the rest of it a surprise for those who will see it in person!)

Brenda's Very Own Home Makeover

After working on Brenda's house this week, I think Ty Pennington has some competition on his hands. Here are some pictures of Brenda's house. She took all of the BEFORE pictures, so I only have the ones I took AFTER. But I think you can all visualize what it looked like before.

The Living Room: New Piano:
The Kitchen:

New Food Pantry:
Stuff we hauled to the DI:

Makayla having herself a tupperware party:

Do we look EXAUSTED?

Makayla was such a good baby this week. I really couldn't have got done what I did without her being as good natured as she is/was. It would have been nice to have Grandma Carley up here to entertain, but we seemed to manage with all of Vanessa's friends that came over.

In addition to cleaning the living room and kitchen, we also cleaned out all of her cupboards in her laundry room. The hallway was cleared of all the debri, and it also has some fresh paint. This week's task is to work on the bedrooms so we can move Vanessa into the bigger room.

I know some people may think I am nuts, but I feel really good being able to help Brenda out. I think she just needed a little help getting going. Heck, when we left last night at 11:30, she was still working on DIing some of Vanessa's clothes. It actually surprised me how easy it was for her to get rid of things once we started. On Friday night after we left (at midnight), she went to Walmart and bought $200 worth of stuff: new rugs, new garbage can, plants, ... Her house really does look different!

Makayla's Easter Dress

These pictures were taken Sunday, March 16. Have you ever seen a more beautiful baby? Makayla looked soooo cute in her pretty pink Easter dress. Grandma and Grandpa just loved spending their Easter break playing with the cutest grandbaby ever!! We didn't want to go home to LV. (Of course, we loved visiting with our own kids and other family members, too!)

Our NEW HOT ROD!!!

So this is me and Christy's new ride. It is a Lexus 2007 IS 250. The color of the car is called sage metalic green with tan leather seats. It drives so smooth, it is way quite and it has some geddy up too. It has some cool features like a push button start. If you have the key less remote on you when you walk up to the door it senses the remote and unlocks automatically for you. That's pretty cool. Heated and Cooled front seats.. Anyways its nice and we like it

CUTEST PUPPY EVER!!!

So this is Ali. A Yorkshire Terrier. We got here a couple days before Christmas 07. Ali was so small when we got here. She weighted about 2 pounds when we got her and now she weights like 4.5 pounds. Isn't she just the cutest puppy? Right now we are taking her to puppy classes at Petco. They are going well and she is learning to be obedient. Ali always loves to play. Every time she is at Mom and Dad's house she harasses Toby. She is a joy and we love having her around.

Does anyone know how Ryan is doing? Is he feeling better?
